DESCRIPTION: \nMeeting Agenda\nRun for the Board of Directors\nWe are welcoming applications for our 2026 Board of Director elections that will take place at our AGM on October 22, 2026. If you are passionate about trails in Chilliwack and are looking for a way to make a difference in the community, then we want to hear from you!\nThe Chilliwack Park Society (CPS) Board of Directors (BOD) consists of eleven (10) volunteers working together to provide strategic leadership to ensure that the organization achieves the mission of the community. The BOD is elected at the AGM by CPS members.\nSeats open for election are:\n\n\nVice Chair – 2-year term (must be current 2 year+ CPS director)\n\n\n3 Director seats – 2-year terms (portfolios determined at first director meeting)\n\n\nApply or Nominate a Board Member\nWhat to Expect\n\nSpecific duties of directors at large are flexible and assigned at the first directors meeting. Relevant skills and interests of applicants are considered in assignments – don’t hesitate to apply!\nBoard members can expect to put in anywhere from 4 to 7 hours a month towards their respective board duties/roles throughout the year (varies by role and time of year). Regular meetings held quarterly or at the call of the Chair as necessary. Min. 50% attendance rate required.\nAll board members may participate in a variety of activities such as supporting trail building and trail days, helping out at events, leading and/or participating in committees, etc. It’s a team effort!\n\nIf you or someone you know are passionate about Chilliwack and area trails and want to get involved through a board position fill out this application/nomination form by October 15, 2026.  Your application will be provided at the AGM to aid CPS members in voting.\nQuestions? We particularly encourage Indigenous peoples, persons with disabilities, members of visible minority groups to run for election, as these groups continue to be under-represented on our Board.\n
