Chilliwack Community Forest
The Chilliwack Community Forest is a network of trails that pass through a beautiful old growth forest in the Eastern Hillsides. The trails are shared with hikers and mountain bikers and offer a variety of routes that can be done as a loop, from some steeper trails to easier loops for the family. The trails were built and continue to be maintained by the Chilliwack Park Society with support from the City of Chilliwack and the Fraser Valley Mountain Bikers Association.
- Off leash dogs allowed.
- Picnic facilities and a large shelter can be found at the trailhead.

Trails
Chilliwack Community Forest is a multi-use trail system. The forest has several loops including “Pi txel” (Peet-hyul) a beginner level trail loop, Cholqthet a moderate trail loop, the Canyon Loop, as well as a small loop at the top referred to as “Broken Tree.” The shorter trail features interpretive signage and resting benches at scenic viewpoints and is less than 5% average grade, great for families and kids. This is also the access for the Gloria Lookout trail as well as the top of Thaletel, described in Lexw Qwò:m Park.
Cholqthet (cholk-THET) is the Halkomelem word for “dropping in, as in a bird falling out of the nest for the first time”.
