The new trail along Chilliwack River Road has been one of our most rewarding partnerships. Moving from bushwhacking with a brush saw to an accessible trail highlighting the return of salmon to a reclaimed creekbed affirms our vision and spirit of collaboration. We are grateful to Skowkale, Atchelitz and Yakweakwioose First Nations for trusting us to bring our volunteers to work on their land and for taking our humble beginnings and escalating the reclamation and the trail in such a spectacular way. Ts’lhimexósem (Going for a walk together) is truly a wonder to behold. Community in action.
